about Indian River Family REsort

Indian River Family Resort is located on the beautiful Indian River, located minutes from many local family-friendly activities.  Indian River is a shallow, crystal-clear river picturesque for canoeing and kayaking, especially for the seasoned birdwatcher. 

Our large beach with deep sand and shallow water provides families with young children hours of fun.  Canoes and kayaks, including life jackets are included as part of your stay with us.   

Our four fully equipped trailers, available for rent for a weekend or a week, enable families to enjoy a camping experience while being close to many local attractions.  Experience the world-renowned Peterborough Liftlock and the Canadian Canoe Museum. Visit the Indian River Reptile Zoo, Canada's only dinosaur park and reptile sanctuary, just minutes away!  Several local attractions offer free admission, including Hope Mill, Riverview Park & Zoo and Peterborough Musifest.​
